ABSTRACT
An analysis of the patient’s medical history with changes in the organ of vision due to TBI was performed. The difficulties in making the correct diagnosis in our
case were associated with the delayed onset of the first symptoms affecting the organ of vision and their slow progression, the presence of other concomitant
diseases, and the absence of classic complaints (such as constant noise in the head). More than two months passed from the first signs of the disease to the
correct diagnosis.
With the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation, the number of traumatic brain injuries among the civilian population and military
personnel in Ukraine has increased significantly, and the likelihood of KCS also increases. In all cases of traumatic exophthalmos, it is recommended to be
vigilant in terms of the carotid-cavernous connection.
